Before VI Peel
- Avoid using "anti-aging" products like retinol 1-2 days prior to your appointment.
- Wash your face and remove makeup before your appointment.
- Clear a flat surface and provide a comfortable area to lay down for your treatment. You might clean for the cleaner, but no need to tidy up for us!
During VI Peel
- Your provider will review your treatment plan upon arrival, provide an assessment, and explain how your treatment will work.
- A solution will be applied to your skin by your provider. The treatment should take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes.
After VI Peel
- After the peel, your skin may appear tan, bronzed or pink and feel tight for two days before peeling begins.
- Treat your skin like sunburn: avoid sun exposure, sweating and heat.
- Avoid sun exposure during and after peeling. Reapply sunscreen when outdoors.
- If any post-peel kit product stings or irritates, contact your practitioner.
- The amount of peeling varies. Apply Post-Peel Protectant and SPF 50+ Sunscreen daily for 7-14 days.
- Resume regular skincare products after peeling subsides.
- Avoid skin exfoliation treatments for 72-96 hours after the peel. Wait two weeks before facials, extractions, waxing, or threading.
