Chicago VI Peel At Home

Book now

VI Peel is designed to lift pigment, smooth texture, remove sun damage, alleviate acne and scarring, and fight fine lines and wrinkles. It is particularly effective before special events for a quick "glow" boost. It typically causes peeling on days 3 to 5 after application, with most exfoliation subsiding by day 6.

Results can be seen within 7 days, and it can be applied every 3 months.

What to expect when getting VI Peel

Before VI Peel

  • Avoid using "anti-aging" products like retinol 1-2 days prior to your appointment.
  • Wash your face and remove makeup before your appointment.
  • Clear a flat surface and provide a comfortable area to lay down for your treatment. You might clean for the cleaner, but no need to tidy up for us!

During VI Peel

  • Your provider will review your treatment plan upon arrival, provide an assessment, and explain how your treatment will work.
  • A solution will be applied to your skin by your provider. The treatment should take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes.

After VI Peel

  • After the peel, your skin may appear tan, bronzed or pink and feel tight for two days before peeling begins.
  • Treat your skin like sunburn: avoid sun exposure, sweating and heat.
  • Avoid sun exposure during and after peeling. Reapply sunscreen when outdoors.
  • If any post-peel kit product stings or irritates, contact your practitioner.
  • The amount of peeling varies. Apply Post-Peel Protectant and SPF 50+ Sunscreen daily for 7-14 days.
  • Resume regular skincare products after peeling subsides.
  • Avoid skin exfoliation treatments for 72-96 hours after the peel. Wait two weeks before facials, extractions, waxing, or threading.
